    The Campaign for Wool

In general consumers purchase balls or skeins of WOOL for knitting, not knowing that this is not actually made from wool, and is often nylon or acrylic. Another generic term used for non-wool fibres. ⠀⠀

The properties of nylon and acrylic have no similarities or association with the natural performance benefits of a wool yarn. Wool is a breathing fibre that can keep your temperature regulated for warm or cold conditions; is odour resistant; does not burn; is good for skin health; and is a renewable and biodegradable fibre.

  • Wool is Sustainable

No, shearing doesn’t harm the sheep
    Yes, wool is completely natural
No, wool doesn’t need massive resources to process it
    Yes, wool is completely sustainable
No, wool won’t pollute our oceans
    Yes, wool is biodegradable
No, wool doesn’t need lies, deceit and propaganda to sell it

Wool has been quietly doing its own thing for centuries and will continue to do so long after fads, bogus trends and propaganda have gone by the wayside.
Test all things but hold on to what is good.
    Wool is good.
